I’m pretty sure this cherry burl thought it’s chance for a second life was over, but I thought it was worth a chance. First, lots of adhesives thinned in to be sure it stays together. Second - narrow down the Tele template by a full inch, and leave as much natural edge as possible. Then, find a short scale Tele neck - 24” scale, in fact - string it up and se what happens - WOW! Loud, easy to play, stays in tune, and is easy on an old man’s back. Stacked Tone/Volume controls keeps things simple.
